Rachel Bennett - Associate
Rachel joined Material Insight in 2017. In her 20 years of experience, Rachel has worked both inside B2B technology companies and in marketing agency roles. She led product marketing at SMART Technologies (acquired by FoxConn) and navigated the Shaw rebrand of Big Pipe to Shaw Business Solutions. Most recently, she built out the marketing function for Mitacs, a company driving Canadian innovation by partnering university researchers with technology businesses nationally and globally.
Rachel's expertise includes marketing planning, reseller marketing, product positioning, brand strategy, and product launches, and in recent years, she’s added service design and user experience. Rachel has a knack for identifying core differentiation and a passion for numbers that show results. She’s also a savvy editor and writer with an honours BA and master’s in English from the University of Regina, and a PhD in English from the University of Alberta.
