Claudia Moore - President, Partner
Material Insight is a growth agent to entrepreneurs, especially technology ventures in Western Canada. As president, Claudia has helped to lead the company's own growth from its startup in 2002 to now, serving 50 innovative ventures with recruiting, marketing and product management. For some of Canada's most enterprising companies, Claudia has helped identify the differentiating traits that become core to their brand and competitive advantage. Claudia has a strong track record for integrated marketing planning that is practical, resourceful and firmly rooted in the business and sales goals of an organization. She contributes 12 years of brand and sales-driven marketing experience to Material Insight's community gained as an advisor to organizations including technology leaders Cambrian House, Calgary Scientific, Evoco, Zedi and brand heavyweights Star Choice Communications and WestJet Airlines.
Formerly Vice President, Customer Strategy with Stormworks Ltd. and a senior communications consultant with Parallel Strategies, Claudia also directed marketing for Solium Capital Inc., the financial software company that acquired Stormworks in Spring 2002. With sales-driven leadership, Solium tripled revenue in two years.
Shelley Kuipers - Co-Founder Material Insight
Shelley has a long track record of startups and coaching startup leaders. That passion for the emerging technology space led her to launch Material Insight In 2002 - a hub of growth agents for tech startups.
She also co- founded Adventure Capital, a specialized venture capital firm investing in early-stage technology companies in 2006. And in February 2007, Shelley took a sabbatical for her role as president Material Insight to become president of Cambrian House.
In the tech boom era, Shelley co-founded Stormworks - a software development and online marketing firm in 2000. The company began as a member of the Launchworks group - a series of companies established to incubate technology startups. In the Spring of 2002, Stormworks was acquired by Solium Capital Inc, a publicly-traded financial software company that grew considerably following the merger of the two businesses.
Shelley’s career began in the petroleum sector. She led recruiting, consulting and support services for 10 years at Merak Projects, a provider of valuation and management software for the petroleum industry. Her first start-up, Shelley joined Merak in 1990 and went on to recruit 60 per cent of the company’s 250 people, a key asset in the valuation that led to its acquisition by Schlumberger in 1999. Shelley’s education includes a diploma from SAIT in Petroleum Technology (1987).
Shelley is an investor in several companies some of which include; Cambrian House Inc., Tynt Inc., Curve Dental Inc., Evoco Inc., Solium Capital Inc. and Medgate.

Jennifer Aubin - Consultant
Jennifer has a diverse background that comprises technology, financial industry, advertising, marketing, and sports. She has 10 years experience in project management, recruiting, sales and marketing.
As our recruiting specialist, Jennifer represents our clients' talent needs to the outside world, drawing on potential recruits across Alberta, Canada, US and Europe. Jennifer has successfully assisted many companies in their search for the right candidate and has recruited hundreds of employees for the emerging technology market.
Prior to joining Material Insight, Jennifer worked with Ionxphere Inc. as a Solutions Specialist. At Stormworks, the Olympic Oval, and Kids Photo, she was the first point of contact for client account needs. Additionally, she held an Executive position with the Olympic Oval Organizing Committee.
Brooke Campbell - Consultant
Brooke brings with her a fresh perspective and experience in tourism, sports, sales, and marketing.
Prior to joining Material Insight, Brooke worked with Action Business Coaching as a Marketing Manager, where she supported executive and business coaches. Joining Material Insight as a Project Manager, Brooke will work with key team members to ensure projects run smoothly and that clients' needs are met on a timely basis for all projects. Brooke emphasizes relationship building and focuses on excellence in all of her work.
Brooke is a motivational speaker, as well as an avid runner, skier, and general outdoor enthusiast. Her education includes a Bachelor of Commerce from the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, as well as the Canadian Securities Course.
Courtney Sproule - Consultant
Courtney's varied experience spans the government, communications, technology, non-profit and arts sectors.
Prior to joining Material Insight, she provided communication, marketing and project management support for environmental initiatives at Climate Change Central. At the age of 19, she co-founded a non-profit troupe that has performed for Disneyland, aboard Carnival Cruise Lines and at numerous resorts in Mexico. She currently owns and operates a dance studio and more recently, was selected to represent lululemon athletica as an ambassador.
Courtney holds a Bachelor of Communications (Applied) from Mount Royal College with a focus on Public Relations.
