Day in the life
- Work with fractional marketing leaders to execute marketing tactics to achieve the growth goals of B2B software companies – generating leads, boosting sales revenue or attracting partners. (clients in sports marketing, board of directors meeting management, oil and gas equipment sales, technology investment and community)
- Participate in client meetings coming prepared to listen and learn, ask smart questions, present effectively as needed, and use the time well to gain insight and decisions required for work underway.
- Manage multiple projects to keep the focus on the client goals, on schedule and within budget.
- Plan and write content including LinkedIn posts (and possibly other social posts including X and Instagram) with hashtag savvy, sales tools (slides, one pagers), case studies, thought leadership articles, or blog posts with SEO keywords top of mind – all nailing the brand voice of the client, with eagle-eye editing.
- Use AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to aid productivity in research, writing, and design tasks with the experience to know when polish or review are needed to achieve excellent accurate results.
- Publish social media and blog content that rises above chatter to educate and inspire.
- Write engaging, concise website copy and publish it (in WordPress) with support from our web design and dev partners if the code gets tricky.
- Help plan and write copy for email campaigns (usually in Hubspot or Mailchimp), watching engagement and open metrics closely to learn how to improve.
- Conduct web research on competitors, industry events, or key content themes.
- Track success metrics and help report on marketing impact – can include compiling data from different sources including Hubspot, Google Analytics, LinkedIn etc.
- Coordinate online events such as webinars including online event set up, and assistance with email, social promotion and content preparation.
- Familiarity needed with Google Analytics, HubSpot, WordPress, email campaign tools and Canva.
- We’re a work-from-home distributed team so Slack and Google Workspace (docs, sheets, slides etc) keep us connected along with Zoom meetings, and occasional live meetups. Clients also use Teams / Microsoft.
Who we’re looking for:
- Diverse candidates with 5+ years experience of marketing within a technology startup and/or agency experience – if your experience is in B2B software/technology that’s a major asset!
- Undergrad or college degree in communications, commerce or business preferred but we’re open to qualified candidates with unique paths to the experience we need.

- Full time, remote (Canada).
- Salary $70,000 to $85,000, plus after 3 months, $5,000 benefits allowance and 3 weeks holidays including one near December 25 (our office closes).
